A New Era for WIRED—That Starts With You

In Wired, we are Obsessed with the way the world is transformed – and recently, there has been much to be obsessed. From the frantic pace of research on the AI to the tectonic transformation which takes place through the American federal government, the journalists, producers and publishers of Wired have committed to postpone the front lines of these changes and to make you all for the journey.
Our goal is to wake up every day and find what we describe as “zero history”: the story even before anyone knows that there is a story to tell. We strive to do this work in a way that is conversational and accessible, intrepid and definitive, and finally helps you understand what changes, why and how it will affect your gift and your future.
I am incredibly proud that our work of this year has often achieved the high objectives that we have set ourselves: wired journalists have produced revolutionary reports on the disruption of Federal Doge agencies, discovered clear coverage on the coverage of Jeffery Epstein, gave a constant drumber of coverage with clear impact on a real IMA. Santing down the range, of a murder cult of AI at the quantum apocalypse at the corner of the street.
We also had a lot of fun. Our creative team pushes the limits of digital design, creating interactive such as our quantum encryption calculator and evocative digital packages, including our deep dive in computer borders. And we are increasingly translating our journalism in new formats, including the vertical video that you will often see integrated into our stories, and our new podcast Strange valley.
There are so many reasons to be enthusiastic about the future of Wired. But it is important to recognize that we do this work within an information ecosystem that is transformed before our eyes: the platforms on which points of sale like Wired connect with readers, listeners and viewers fail in real time; Facebook traffic has disappeared years ago, and now Google Search decreases while the company reorients users to rely on AI instead of links to credible publishers. More and more users are also jumping Google, choosing to use chatbots like Chatgpt or Claude to find information for which they have relied on the media for news. Meanwhile, the slope and the disinformation generated by AI-AI infiltrate all the pores of the Internet, polluting social media flows and drowning the news and the narrative focused on man.
In Wired, our solution to this so-called “traffic apocalypse” and the salience of Internet AI, is simple: connect our humans to all humans.
Here is the plan: we will continue to produce high -level journalism and narration, written stories, scoops, features and interviews with podcasts and audio narration, videos and live broadcasts. And we invite you to join us, directly on Wired.com or in your reception box, with a new subscription offer which, in our opinion, is more dynamic, more engaging and more precious. Above all, we have become more and more focused on creating a community and a shared conversation between wired journalists and all of you – our audience of curious, brilliant people and focused on the world. We want to answer your questions and request your contributions and your ideas. We want to know what scares you, what excites you and what we can do to help you sail in this new strange future.
As a wired, you will have access to an increasing set of exclusive advantages.
