Tom Brady Cloned His Dog

We pet owners have all asked ourselves some version of the following question: If you could clone your pet, would be You ?
There’s one person who has given his definitive answer to this timeless question: former NFL player Tom Brady, who just revealed that he cloned Lua, his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen’s late family dog, shortly before the pup died in 2023.
People reports that Tom announced the reveal in a press release alongside Colossal Biosciences, the company that cloned Lua (and of which Tom is also an investor). Her statement revealed that Lua was cloned using blood obtained before her death, resulting in her current pet, Junie.
“I love my animals. They mean the world to me and my family,” Tom said in the release. “A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw from our family’s senior dog before she passed away.”
Tom also added that the procedure “gave my family a second chance with a clone of our beloved dog,” going on to say that he was “excited about how Colossal and Viagen’s technology can help both families losing their beloved pets while helping save endangered species.”
Let’s be real: If you were an investor in the company that cloned your dog, you’d probably say something similar. But the question remains: Would be do you clone your animal? Let us know in the comments.
