Tony Hawk Denies Wedding On Jeffrey Epstein’s Island

As you probably know, last week more than three million pages of documents, images and videos were released by the Justice Department as part of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
This publication provided a poignant insight into government records related to investigations, prosecutions and related cases involving convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and other powerful individuals.
For reference, Epstein died in prison in 2019. Meanwhile, his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of child sex trafficking and other charges in 2021.
Many high-profile names appear in the newly released documents, including President Donald Trump, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, aka Prince Andrew, and former US President Bill Clinton, to name a few.
And one of the names that appears in one of the files is that of professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, 57, who is mentioned in an email dated October 22, 2024 from a special agent working as a threat examiner. Their identities were redacted, but the email recounted an alleged survivor’s allegations against Epstein.
The email alleges that the woman was first trafficked at age 5 and “brought to Jeffrey Epstein Island at age 13.” [REDACTED] reported that she was there when Prince Edward was there and when Tony Hawk got married on the island.
This refers to Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James, a private estate in the US Virgin Islands, where many of Epstein’s crimes allegedly took place.
And on Thursday, Tony himself directly responded to this unverified records claim, providing receipts from all four of his marriages while vehemently denying ever having visited Epstein’s island — or even meeting Epstein. Posting on his Instagram Story, he wrote: “Here are the facts and timeline of my nuptials, and I apologize if they don’t add up to some absurd narrative.” »
“1990: Married in Fallbrook, California (at home),” Tony began, referring to his first wife, Cindy Dunbar, whom he divorced in 1993.
“1996: Married in San Diego, California (at the Hilton Hotel),” Tony said of his marriage to Erin Lee, whom he divorced in 2004.
“2006: Married in Fiji (on the surfing island of Tavaru),” he added, referring to his third wife, Lhotse Merriam, from whom he separated in 2011.
“2015: Married in Ireland (at Adare Manor),” he concluded, specifying that it was Tony’s marriage to his wife, Catherine Goodman.
Tony then responded to speculation that his 2006 wedding took place on Epstein’s island by acknowledging that one of the credited photographers, acclaimed in the industry, shared his name with Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein.
He wrote: “One of the guests in 2006 took photos of the ceremony in Fiji and licensed them to Getty Images. His name is (coincidentally) Mark Epstein, an accomplished action sports photographer from Wyoming and no relation to Jeffrey Epstein (whom I have never met and whose island I have never visited). This is all easily verifiable information. Facts are not fungible.”
Tony even tagged Mark Epstein, the photographer, in his story, saying: “Sorry, you were also drawn into the vortex of misinformation. »
BuzzFeed has reached out to Tony’s rep for further comment, but in the meantime, let me know what you think below.
