AI slope is about as inevitable as artificial intelligence himself. While some of it may be entertaining, most of it is. bad, unnecessary or misleading. It’s found a home on every social media platform, and you’ll find yourself scrolling through other posts to avoid it. Some platforms, however, allow users to control the amount of content they see in their feeds.

Earlier this month, Pinterest announced that you can now reduce the number of AI-generated posts you see in your home feed for certain categories on Android and the the canvas. THE iOS the version will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

How to Reduce AI in Your Pinterest Feed

You can find the new settings this way:

  1. Go to the Home Feed Settings section of your Pinterest account.
  2. Locate the new Interests of GenAI tab there.
  3. Use this tab to limit the number of AI posts you see on your home feed by toggling the “disable” position.

Pinterest says it starts with categories that are highly prone to AI-generated or edited content. The company plans to add more options based on user feedback.

It’s critical to note that nowhere is it stated that the new settings will eliminate AI-generated content. Instead, they will narrow it down into specific categories.

Matt Madrigal, Pinterest’s chief technology officer, says the site isn’t looking to eliminate all AI-generated posts, adding that the new controls strike “the right balance between human creativity and AI innovation.”
