Top Counterterrorism Official (and Known Extremist) Resigns Over Iran

“I talked to a certain president, who I like, actually. A former president, a former president. He said, ‘I wish I had done it. I wish I had done it.’ But they didn’t. I do it. Yeah? Trump spoke about the war in Iran during a luncheon for Kennedy Center board members Monday afternoon. Later, Trump said in the Oval Office that he “talked to one of the former presidents that I really like.”
“I actually talk to some,” Trump said. “And he said, ‘I wish I’d done what you did.'” When asked to be specific, Trump said it wasn’t Bush, and when asked if it was Clinton, he said, “I don’t want to say.”
“I don’t mean because a party member, a party member, has Trump derangement syndrome, but it’s someone who likes me, and I like this person, who’s an intelligent person, but this person said, ‘I wish I did.’ OK, but I don’t want to talk about who. I don’t want to get him in trouble,” Trump said. “You know, it’s interesting. And maybe he would be proud. And I might even ask him this: ‘Do you want me to reveal your name?'”
