Toronto fans mad they can’t buy tix for Yankees playoff games

If Toronto Blue Jays fans find themselves rooted for the Boston Red Sox to beat the Yankees in the Wild Card series of the American League, it may only be so that they can really get tickets to see their team play.
The Yankees and the Red Sox start a series of five best on Tuesday who will decide which team is advancing to play Blue Jays from the American League East.
The first two games in the Blue Jays series against New York or Boston take place in Canada. But fans who watch matches three and four of this match if they are played in the Bronx find Ticketmaster does not sell seats for these competitions north of the American border, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
A Yankees representative said that CBC News seats for these potential games are only available for purchase in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania to limit ticket scalping.
Many Blue Jays fans on social networks have expressed their disappointment to possibly be deprived of the opportunity to watch their team celebrate a victory in the series in the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
But if the Red Sox overturn the Yankees, Blue Jays fans will be able to cross the border and see their team play in Beantown.
“We are not limiting the eligibility for purchase in Fenway Park,” a representative of the Red Sox told CBC News.
