Sen. Marsha Blackburn announces she’s running for governor in Tennessee

Senator Marsha Blackburn, R-Venn., Pays himself for the governor, she announced on Wednesday, promising to help his state to be “the conservative chief of America” for future generations.
Blackburn, who is said to be the first woman governor of the state if she wins, strongly supported his support for President Donald Trump in a short video published on X announcing his campaign. The first images of the video are from the president, before Blackburn took over to declare: “Trump is back, America is blessed and Tennessee – better than ever.”
“Here, in the volunteer state, we always open the way. And that is why I am announcing my candidacy for the governor,” she said, promising to provide more jobs and energy production to the state, adding that she planned to “dispense a world class education to our children by empowering parents, not in the deep state”.
She presented herself as a faithful of the conservative policy which will pursue these values as governor – promising to deport illegal foreigners “if they take planes, trains or vessels”; promising to “enhance life”; Amongling the debate on transgender athletes participating in female sports by saying “We will define our boys and our girls as God made them.”
“I love Tennessee, I believe in Tennesseens, and I am ready to deliver the type of conservative leadership which will guarantee that our state is the conservative leader of America for this generation and the next,” she added.
Blackburn will join a primary that includes representative John Rose, who has lent $ 5 million to his campaign to increase his offer. The current governor of the State, Bill Lee, cannot take place again due to the limits of the mandate.
Defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, also discussed the idea of presenting himself to political functions next year in Tennessee, said last week NBC News, citing two people who talked about it. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense denied that he was considering an offer and other people in HegSeth orbit told NBC News that he did not intend to present himself in the elections.
Blackburn is an eminent force in republican politics in the state, having served as elected functions for a quarter of a century, played large -scale roles in the Senate on issues such as abortion and ban on transgender athletes of female sports, and have cultivated a relationship with Trump. The president has not yet weighed on the race.
If Blackburn was to win, she should leave her seat to which she was re -elected in November. As governor, she would have the ability to appoint her temporary successor before a special election to fill the seat.
Blackburn is the third senior senator to announce a race for the governor this year after the Republican Senator of Alabama Tommy Tuberville and the Democratic Senator of Colorado Michael Bennet.
