ICE slams NYC for releasing Dominican man charged with child abuse

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) castigated the city of New York for its sanctuary policies after the city police published a Dominican national accused of sexual misconduct with a child under the age of 11.

Ice arrested Robert Reid Mendez Jimenez on August 13, after being charged with a predatory children’s offense.

The New York Police Service (NYPD) released Jimenez on police custody after local officials ignored an ice immigration detainee, the Federal Agency said.

Jimenez was released despite his arrest by the NYPD for several charges of sexual abuse, including sexual conduct with a child under the age of 11.

The agents of the application of ice cream and referral to Newark, New Jersey, then found it through intelligence operations.

“This case shows the real cost of ignorance of ice prisoners: violent offenders are walking for free, and public security is endangered,” said the director of the acting office in Ice Ero Newark, Ruben Perez. “I am proud of our deportation officers, who found it and placed it in police custody – by removing a dangerous street predator in the weeks following its release in the community.”

Ice said Mendez has been under an order for final dismissal since July 2018, after having entered illegally in the United States. He will remain in police custody until removal.

The secretary of internal security, Kristi Noem, distinguished Adams in the past for the New York sanctuary laws, although the mayor said: “I have nothing to do with the rules that are put in place. I have just carried out the rules.”

Earlier this month, the Attorney General Pam Bondi said that she had sent letters by giving jurisdictions of the sanctuary for a week to comply with the federal immigration laws or to the action of the Ministry of Justice.

On social networks, Bondi described the “letters of demand” in a key manner to eradicate sanctuary policies nationally. She warned that the courts putting illegal immigrants before the citizens would face prosecution if they refuse to comply.

After the main victory of Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani, NYPD’s pensions would have increased. Bondi, a former criticism of Adams, previously told Fox News Digital Strong Leadership is crucial for the security of officers.

Adams also worked with the border tsar Tom Homan on the application of immigration.
