As of February 13, 2026, Friday the 13th, it was unclear whether the Trumps would make an appearance at the Great American Race in their home state. The president did, however, attend the Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida on February 16, 2025.
Some members of the Trump family even accompanied him on the runway.
The couple’s previous visits include the iconic NASCAR races in February 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001, when they were dating and then engaged. This is one of several visits to the Great American Race by the Commander-in-Chief and his second-in-command as President of the United States. In 2020, Trump was the grand marshal of the 62nd running of the Daytona 500, and First Lady Melania Trump accompanied him.
