Trump faces eight ‘No Kings’ protests in Palm Beach County on Saturday

Eight “No Kings” demonstrations are planned in Palm Beach County on Saturday, March 28, to protest the policies of President Donald Trump, the county’s best-known resident.
A twilight march to Mar-a-Lago will conclude the day’s activities, taking protesters toward Trump’s Palm Beach estate along the new Donald Trump Presidential Boulevard, which is also Southern Boulevard. This event starts at 6 p.m. at Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach.
Trump is expected to be in Palm Beach during these events, spending the weekend at Mar-a-Lago after a planned speaking engagement in Miami. Law enforcement blocked previous protests from reaching the president’s residence, citing security concerns.
Earlier today, events will take place in seven Palm Beach County municipalities, according to the No Kings website. They include:
-
Palm Beach Gardens: A protest will take place on PGA Boulevard and Campus Drive from 10 a.m. to noon.
-
West Palm Beach: Protesters will gather in front of the Target store on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-
Royal palm beach: A protest will take place in front of the Target store on Okeechobee Boulevard and State Road 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-
Wellington: Protesters will gather on Forest Hill and Rive-Sud boulevards, near the village hall, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
-
Lake Worth Beach: A demonstration will take place in front of city hall from 10 a.m. to noon.
-
Boynton Beach: Cars will operate at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and North Congress Avenue from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
-
Boca Raton: Cars will operate at the intersection of West Palmetto Park Road and Northwest Second Avenue from 10 a.m. to noon.
Palm Beach County has been accustomed to hosting these events since they began taking place a year ago. One of the local organizers, Palm Beach Indivisibles, described the rallies as “part of a national day of action with thousands of peaceful protests across America” to defend American democracy, which they say has been threatened by Trump’s policies on several issues.
Topics at past events include Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts and the release of all government documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein, the Palm Beach sex predator with whom Trump was friends until the early 2000s. Epstein committed suicide in a New York jail cell while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
