Trump hits out at ‘deeply disappointing’ Supreme Court decision

US President Donald Trump expressed his frustration in the press room after the US Supreme Court struck down global tariffs, which took effect last year. In its ruling, the Supreme Court said Trump exceeded his authority by imposing drastic tariffs through a law reserved for a national emergency.
The president said that in an effort to “protect our country” he would charge more under other laws, and announced he was signing an executive order to impose a 10 percent global tariff using Section 122, created by the 1974 Trade Act.
