Trump Looks to Double Immigration Judges After Biden Left Backlog

President Donald Trump seeks to double the immigration judges of the Ministry of Justice to help quickly judge an unprecedented number of expulsion cases which were left by former president Joe Biden.
Tuesday, the Associated Press (AP) reported that the defense secretary Pete Hegseth had approved to provide the Ministry of Justice (DOJ) up to 600 military lawyers to serve as federal immigration judges.
“The military will begin to send groups of 150 lawyers – military and civilians – to the Ministry of Justice” as soon as possible “, and military services should have the first round of people identified next week, according to the memo of August 27,” reports the AP.
Currently, there are around 600 immigration judges while the Trump administration releases judges that it has proven to be too lax to provide immigration benefits such as asylum.
The Biden administration had carried out a two-step program to maintain millions of migrants, most of which do not indefinite valid asylum complaints in the United States.
In particular, Biden officials have thrilled the government’s immigration court with historic affairs of 3.5 million. For the prospect, when former President Donald Trump took office in late January 2017, the back of the immigration court was less than 570,000 cases. When Trump left his duties at the beginning of 2021, the backlog had increased by around 500,000 cases to reach more than a million.
At the same time, Biden officials made a so-called “quiet amnesty” where migrants confronted
As Breitbart News, the Director of American Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Joseph Edlow reported that the Trump administration enormously limits administrative closings.
“All that the Biden administration could take to take a larger foot of an illegal population in this country, they were going to do,” Edlow told Breitbart News. “I mean, their long -term plan, I think we have to assume, was to grant a kind of mass amnesty, to make them all citizens, then spread them to try to change demography elsewhere throughout the country.”
