Trump Makes Big Announcement About What the US Just Did to Iran’s Kharg Island – RedState

The United States and Israel decimated the Iranian military, and after just two weeks, they decimated much of their ability to fight back. They destroyed their navy and took functional control of the skies. They took out a lot of their missiles. They are even hitting Iran’s internal security forces with brutal strikes, with the help of Iranian citizens who advise them, in a brilliant partnership to topple the regime.

Now, Trump has made a big announcement about what the United States just did to Kharg Island, considered critical to Iran’s survival; this is what most of their oil operations go through.

“Moments ago, under my instructions, United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in Middle Eastern history and totally destroyed all MILITARY targets on Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island,” the president wrote in a Truth Social article.

He added that he had “chosen NOT to wipe out the island’s oil infrastructure.”

“However, if Iran, or anyone else, does anything to interfere with the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision,” Trump wrote.

The message reads in full:

Moments ago, under my instructions, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the history of the Middle East and totally destroyed all MILITARY targets on the jewel of Iran’s crown, Kharg Island. Our weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated the world has ever known, but for the sake of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the island’s oil infrastructure. However, if Iran, or anyone else, does anything to impede the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision. During my first term, and currently, I have rebuilt our military into the deadliest, most powerful, and most effective force in the world. Iran has NO ability to defend anything we want to attack – there is nothing they can do about it! Iran will NEVER have a nuclear weapon and NEVER have the ability to threaten the United States of America, the Middle East or, for that matter, the world! The Iranian military, and everyone else involved in this terrorist regime, would do well to lay down their arms and save what’s left of their country, which isn’t much! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

So this is a fascinating strategy on Trump’s part. The president doesn’t take away the oil, so he can still keep it over their heads. He then tells them that you must allow the ships safe passage, otherwise we will remove your lifeline that you need to survive; it would end their economy.

The Iranians tried to play with the strait, and this is their way of saying: you have just had a moment of “discovery”.

Trump vows swift, violent response if Iran deploys mines in Strait of Hormuz

Will Iran take the hint? If they are thinking logically, then they should relax and try to negotiate their way out. They don’t have many options other than using the Strait as a choke point at this point. But Trump is now putting an end to it.

We must now see if there is indeed someone who logically thinks he will remain in charge of the country. We do not know who it is, nor if the new “Supreme Leader” is still alive. There have been conflicting remarks from various leaders before this about blocking or maintaining the strait, with missing cardboard leader Mojtaba Khamenei saying they would not let people through, it seems. So we will have to see if they are able to agree on an answer to this question and think logically. Otherwise, they will have more moments of “discovery”.
