Trump says he’ll host a UFC event on White House grounds next year

Prepare to see punches on the ground of the White House.

President Trump says that he will organize a fight against the Mixtes Mixtes de l’UFC martial arts at the White House as part of next year celebrating 250 years of American independence.

The idea appeared during a speech Thursday evening at Iowa State Fairgrounds, a year and one day before the 250th anniversary of the ratification of the declaration of independence in 1776. The federal government plans to mark the occasion with a year of events – including a UFC fight, according to Trump.

“We are going to have incredible events,” said the president. “Certain professional events, certain amateur events. But UFC’s fight will also be a big problem.”
