Randy Fine Will Have Dems Whimpering Again As He Unleashes Bill Protecting Puppies From Radical Islam – RedState
Republican Rep. Randy Fine (FL-6) introduced the “Sharia Puppy Protection Act,” a bill to deny federal funding to any state or local government that bans dogs as pets.
Fine’s effort doubles down on his viral claim that Americans will prefer dogs to radical Islam.
“I’m proud to introduce the Sharia Law Puppy Protection Act,” Fine announced on X. “Democrats are losing their minds because I made a simple statement: If we have a choice between our dogs and those who would ban them, the choice is easy. They can pound sand.”
The congressman’s message included a playful puppy dog above the Gadsden flag phrase “Don’t Tread on Me.”
“In America, we won’t allow anyone to tell us we can’t have dogs,” Fine said. “My bill protects Americans’ right to own a dog and would not allow federal funding to go to any state or local government that bans them as Haram.”
Haram is an Arabic term meaning “forbidden” or “prohibited” under Islamic law.
“There are 57 countries that respect Sharia law; the United States will not be the 58th,” Fine concluded.

You have to give it to Fine. This guy has some balls (reportable, of course), given that Democrats have spent the last few days trying to castrate him over comments he made on social media claiming that Muslims would be banned long before dogs.
“If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims won’t be difficult,” Fine wrote on X over the weekend.
Those comments prompted Democrats to bark at expulsion and call his comments “genocidal.” And their anger might have had some legitimacy if Fine had made these comments in a vacuum. But he didn’t, making a joke out of the left’s fake outrage.
The congressman was responding to Nerdeen Kiswani, a pro-Palestinian activist and loyal lapdog of New York City’s democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who said the city that never sleeps was “turning to Islam” when it comes to “unclean” dogs.
“Finally, New York is getting closer to Islam. Dogs definitely have their place in society, but not as pets,” she said. “As we have always said, they are unclean.”
Kiswani later claimed his comments were a joke. But hey, I wasn’t buying it.
“No reading seems satirical,” he said. “In Islam, they don’t like dogs… So when a big Muslim leader says we need to get rid of them, you should take them seriously.”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) naturally jumped at the opportunity to dishonestly characterize Fine’s comments as Islamophobic and asked GOP members to “hold him accountable.”
“Randy Fine is a disgrace to the United States Congress. He is a disgusting, unrepentant Islamophobic bigot,” Obama responded. “Republican leaders must hold this so-called congressman accountable.”
“Political violence, xenophobia and hate crimes against the Muslim community are on the rise,” he said without evidence. “House Democrats will not let Randy Fine’s racist and bigoted behavior go unchecked.”
Jeffries said censure, removal from House committees or perhaps even expulsion could be considered for Fine if Democrats win big in the midterms.
