COP30 Ends With a Whimper As Global Warming Hysteria Fades – RedState

On November 22, modern Luddites and international scammers concluded their COP30 meeting in Belém, Brazil, for the Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), an annual meeting. They left their 18-day cocktail party without any major end-of-session statements that would justify another elitist UN-sponsored climate conference, whose entire 30-year history has been nothing more than a blast of hot air, a preached hysterical screed on global warming, with little to show for its accomplishments.

A staunch promoter of climate hysteria, the New York Times (NYT), in its November 23 report on the shortcomings of the conference’s goals, wrote of “a watered-down resolution that made no direct mention of fossil fuels” and which was “roundly criticized by diplomats as insufficient,” the result of a “marathon series of Friday night meetings.” [that] ultimately saved the meeting from total collapse.

If the New York Times had not been ideologically committed to advancing the UN climate change agenda, its journalists would have written about how astonishing it is that the lecture series lasted 30 years, based on credible and readily available contrarian information that undermined its concerns and showed its efforts to be complete failures. If they had looked, New York Times journalists would have at their disposal reliable sources showing that climate change is historically a naturally recurring event, that projections of catastrophic human-caused global warming are based on flawed science, that United Nations interventions to solve the world’s problems are unreliable and self-serving. Ultimately, climate friends and charlatans are always available to use disinformation to promote their own power, ideologies and wealth.

The Greenland ice core samples provided researchers with comparable temperature and CO2 data that have been scientifically accepted to create accurate profiles over the past tens of thousands of years. In the 10,000 years since the end of the last great ice age, the planet has experienced eight warming and cooling cycles, each lasting 500 to 800 years. The Earth is currently in a warming cycle that began during the coldest temperatures of the Little Ice Age.

Along with the trend of rising temperatures, the industrial revolution developed. Overly aggressive scientists and observers have falsely claimed that there is a causal correlation between the increase in Earth’s temperature and the increase in atmospheric CO2 resulting from the use of fossil fuels. A strong causal correlation between rising temperatures and historical temperature trends is evident; however, no significant dependent correlation between these two variables has been scientifically proven. Indeed, throughout history, global warming has regularly preceded increases in CO2 concentrations.

Al Gore used a hysterical, non-reproducible graph of the temperature of a hockey stick, with the Little Ice Age removed, as the basis for his “Inconvenient Truth” argument, which he then used to motivate Greta Thunberg and other Earth Day activists to support his lucrative investments in green energy. After the conference, instead of acknowledging that the climate crisis was dead because of his own false premises, Gore blamed others in a statement, declaring: “The Petrostates and their allies are doing everything they can to prevent the world from moving forward in solving the climate crisis.”

Operating with other people’s money, UN bureaucrats have become prime proponents of any new Ponzi scheme aimed at transferring wealth from the poor in industrialized countries to global elites, bureaucrats and corrupt governments in underdeveloped countries, of which they laughingly count China as one. They created the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which they used to capture a burgeoning consensus on climate science. Since then, claiming a monopoly on officially sanctioned climate research, the IPCC has produced periodic reports, adoringly and uncritically, relayed by the mainstream media to justify radical policies.

Along with a sympathetic mainstream press, the UN and its fellow travelers collaborated to censor any dissenting opinion.

Climate computer models, which have never matched actual temperatures, predict that existential threats will continually weigh on human existence if IPCC recommendations are not implemented. This corrupt system has fueled Thunberg’s activists, elite university research grants, China’s industrial policy to flood the market with cheap solar panels, batteries, electric vehicles and wind turbines, and Western politicians to implement net-zero plans, undermining their economies.

COP30 ended with little more than a whimper on November 22, but don’t expect the New York Times to report that global warming hysteria is over. Their journalists, editors and most major media outlets have long-term investments in the myth of human-caused global warming.
