Trump Slams Woman Killed In ICE Shooting, Contradicts Police

President Donald Trump weighed in Wednesday afternoon on the ICE shooting of a woman in Minneapolis earlier in the day as she appeared to try to get away from federal agents.
“I just watched the clip of the event that took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman who was screaming was, by all accounts, a professional agitator, and the woman who was driving the car was very disorderly, obstructive and resisting, and then violently, intentionally and viciously ran over the ICE officer, who appeared to have shot her in self-defense,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, directly contradicting a statement by the police chief from Minneapolis. “From the attached clip, it is hard to believe that he is alive, but he is now recovering in the hospital. The situation is being investigated in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left threatens, attacks, and targets our law enforcement officers and ICE on a daily basis. They are just trying to do the job of MAKE AMERICA SAFE. We must stand by and protect our law enforcement officers from laws of this radical left movement Violence and hatred!
O’Hara spoke at a news conference earlier today and said, “We arrived to find a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene, including CPR. The woman was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where she has since been pronounced dead.” He added:
Preliminary information we have indicates that this woman was in her vehicle blocking the roadway on Portland Avenue, halfway between 33rd and 34th streets in the city. At one point, a federal law enforcement officer approached her on foot and the vehicle began to drive off. At least two shots were fired. The vehicle then crashed onto the side of the road. Minneapolis police officers secured the crime scene and helped try to preserve evidence there.
Federal and local authorities have issued conflicting statements about the shooting. The Department of Homeland Security released a statement saying “an ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement officers, and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots” after a rioter “armed his vehicle.” DHS also labeled the deceased woman a “domestic terrorist.”
Mayor of Minneapolis Jacob Frey (D) called the statement “bullshit” and told ICE agents to “get the hell out of town.” Video of the incident does not appear to show the officer who shot the woman injured in any way, and he shoots her next to the driver’s side window, out of danger of being run over.
