Trump suggests more U.S. cities need National Guard but crime stats tell a different story

President Donald Trump threatened to deploy the National Guard to Chicago, New York, Seattle, Baltimore, San Francisco and Portland, Oregon, to fight against what he says is a crime on the run. However, the data show most violent crimes in these places and throughout the country have decreased in recent years.
