Google’s AI-stuffed Pixel 10 event
The pixel line has often been at the forefront of mobile photography. This year, it means cooking directly in the application of the camera and making us deprive ourselves with all the very disorderly things that it means. I traveled the internet for examples of images from the 100x zoom function improved by Pixel 10 Pro – Pro Res Zoom – and the first results were everywhere. There are early samples that look great and others that make me very worried about what Google has unleashed.
This week on The VergecastWe are talking about all things Pixel. Victoria Song and Allison Johnson join me to discuss the launch in detail, starting with the strange event co-colored by Jimmy Fallon. From there, we dive into the Pixel 10 range, in particular its new features of IA and Qi2. And we spend a lot of time to perplex on the camera (what Google insists in metadata is a camera, by the way).
