Guthrie family thanks Tucson, asks people to not forget mother’s case

The Guthrie family expressed gratitude Saturday evening to the Tucson community where their missing mother Nancy lived before her disappearance and suspected kidnapping seven weeks ago.
They asked residents not to forget his case.
“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring from neighbors, friends and the people of Tucson. We are all family now,” the Guthrie family told Tucson’s NBC affiliate KVOA for a special report airing Saturday.
The family asked the community to watch the camera footage and search their memories for anything that might help in the search for Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of “TODAY” co-host Savannah Guthrie.
He asked community members to focus on the “key deadlines” of January 31, February 1 and January 11. The family said any images, journal entries, text messages, observations and conversations may offer evidence or clues.
“It’s possible that someone in this community has information that they don’t even realize is important,” the family said, adding, “No detail is too small. This may be the key.”
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing Feb. 1 from her home near Tucson and was last seen the night before around 9:45 p.m., officials said. Investigators have expressed interest in the Jan. 11 date, previously asking neighbors for security camera footage from that morning, but authorities have not explained why they are questioning homeowners about that date.

Police are searching for a person of interest in the case and have released photos of a masked man seen on doorbell surveillance video.
Some of Nancy Guthrie’s blood was also found on the porch and investigators believe she was the victim of a targeted crime, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said.
The Guthrie family advocated for the safe return of Nancy Guthrie and offered $1 million for her recovery.
The FBI, which is assisting in the case, is also offering a $50,000 reward.
Flowers and notes of encouragement were left at Nancy Guthrie’s home.
The Guthrie family said in the message to KVOA: “Thank you for continuing to pray without ceasing. »
“We miss our mother with every breath and we cannot be at peace until she is home,” the family said. “We cannot cry; we can only suffer and marvel. Our goal is only to find her and bring her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life. But we cannot do that until she is brought to a final resting place.”
