Death Toll Climbs to 4 in Attack on LDS Church in Michigan, Unknown Number of Congregants Unaccounted For – RedState

Michigan authorities presented limited updates on the attack on LDS Grand Blanc Church during a brief press conference on Sunday evening.

Here is what we know at this stage:

• Four people have confirmed dead; Two died after ball wounds, and two bodies were then found in the church.
• One person is in critical condition and seven others in a stable state.
• An unknown number of faithful was still lacking.
• The FBI is now the main agency and the incident is the subject of an investigation as an act of targeted violence.
• Threats of additional bombs are underway; Some targeted locations were also churches.
• It is believed that the shooter used an accelerating and likely essence, then set fire to the church.
• Alleged explosive devices were located, but there is no evidence that they were used to trigger the fire.
• The original call 911 arrived at 10:25 am and the shooter was neutralized at 10:33 am
• The shooter, Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40, is a veteran of the war in Iraq who has a son with congenital hyperinsulinism.
