Los Angeles – A son of the former UFC Quinton champion “Rampage” Jackson seemed to brutally attack a professional wrestler during an independent program in Los Angeles on Saturday evening, a video of the altercation showed, in what the elder Jackson called a case of “bad judgment and a work that went wrong”.

The video of the incident shows Raja Jackson entering the ring at a Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy event during a match and slamming the wrestler Stuart Smith, whose name of the ring is Syko Sta, at the carpet. Jackson then goes up Smith in the video and hits him almost two dozen times in the face before other wrestlers withdraw him.

Smith, who seemed to lose consciousness and was unable to try to protect himself from punches, was motionless in the ring, the protruding blood of his face. His condition was not immediately clear on Sunday.

The eldest Jackson said on X after he had been informed that Smith was “awake and stable”.

Los Angeles police spokesman Norma Eisenman confirmed that the police responded to Block 8,500 on Boulevard Lankershim and reported. Knokx Pro Wrestling lists his address like 8548 Lankershim Blvd. Eisenman said that no arrest had been made and the detectives would examine the report on Monday and decide how to move forward with the investigation.

Raja Jackson did not immediately respond to a request for comments and more details sent to social networks on Sunday evening. Smith also did not respond to a similar demand.

Quinton Jackson declared in the X Post that the incident was “bad judgment and a work that had gone wrong”, using the term “work” struggle, which refers to something that is scripted.

“Raja is an MMA fighter and not a professional wrestler and had no deal [being] Involved in an event like this, “he said.” I do not tolerate my son’s actions at all! “”

In a Facebook statement, Knokx Pro Wrestling sent thoughts and prayers to Smith and apologized to fans. The promotion seemed to confirm that the incident was not planned.

“What was supposed to be a place of planned and agreed, transformed into an act of selfish and irresponsible violence against Mr. Smith,” he said. “This blatant act is reprehensible and should never have happened.”

Knokx did not answer calls to ask for comments on Sunday evening.

The attack was broadcast on the kick. In a press release, a spokesperson for the live platform said Raja Jackson’s account had been suspended.

“Kick community guidelines clearly indicate that excessive violence is not authorized,” the statement said. “The content in violation of our guidelines is deleted and users will be suspended or prohibited.”

The video preceding the attack showed that Smith crushed a box on Raja Jackson’s head, apparently, not knowing that Jackson was not a wrestler. Jackson got angry, but another video showed that the pair was apparently invented.

A third video after that showed another wrestler telling Jackson to give someone a “receipt”. He was not clear in the video if the wrestler specifically referred to Smith; A “receipt” in the language of professional struggle means a legitimate strike or attack, generally in the form of reprisals for a capricious point during a match.

Quinton Jackson referred to this altercation in his article on X, saying that his son, who, according to him, had undergone a concussion during the fight a few days earlier, was informed that he could obtain his “return on investment” in the ring.

“As a father, I am deeply concerned about his health and the well-being of Mr. Smith,” wrote Quinton Jackson. “That being said, I am very upset that all of this has happened, but my main concern is now that Mr. Smith will quickly recover.”

The eldest Jackson is a decorated mixed martial artist who organized from the gold championship in the UFC and tried the professional struggle in the past. Raja Jackson, 25, has an MMA professional record for victory and defeat.
