Trump’s Team Didn’t Care That Deadly Boat Strikes Could Be Illegal

In a country where the cost of living is skyrocketing while wages remain low, where a few fractures can plunge you into financial ruin and where young people believe they have no chance of achieving any upward mobility, 86 House Democrats joined Republicans to adopt a resolution denouncing “the horrors of socialism.”

“Whereas socialist ideology requires a concentration of power that has repeatedly collapsed into communist regimes, totalitarian regimes, and brutal dictatorships; whereas socialism has repeatedly led to famine and mass murder, as well as the murder of more than 100,000,000 people around the world,” the resolution bed. “While many of the greatest crimes in history were committed by socialist ideologues, including Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong Un, Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chavez and Nicolás Maduro…”
