Two injured after Southwest plane plummets to avoid potential collision | US news

Two Southwest Airlines on -board agents are treated for injuries after a passenger plane going to Las Vegas from South California crossed a spectacular dive shortly after takeoff on Friday, the airline and the passengers said.
The southwest flight of 1496, directed from Burbank to Las Vegas, received two alerts which increased the plane and then descend, according to a press release from Southwest.
Reported by ABC and according to flight trackers Flightradar24 and Agnavradar, the plane avoided a collision with a Hawker Hunter plane, currently registered with a non -citizen company, according to the FAA registration newspapers.
Southwest said that the flight had continued in Las Vegas, where he landed “without incident”, and that the airline works with the FAA to “understand the circumstances of the event more”.
“We are aware of an incident involving the flight 1496 of Southwest Airlines. The FAA is in contact with the Southwest and we are investigating. Ensuring everyone in the national airspace system of remains our absolute priority,” FAA said in a press release.
An article on social networks has shown the way that the two planes took in a simulation video.
The good news is that your 737 obtained an automated alert, your crew did what it was supposed to do and therefore your plane was not dangerously close to the other (a hunter hunter Hawker has registered with a defense entrepreneur). pic.twitter.com/ge7wwoifwu

A passenger, Caitlin Burdi, compared the experience with the theme “Tower of terror” Park Ride during an interview with Fox News.
“About 10 minutes after the start of the flight, we fell far enough, and I looked around, and everyone was like” ok, it’s normal “,” said Burdi to Fox. “Then, in two seconds, it was like the earth tower of terror, where we fell from 20 to 30 feet in the air. The cries was terrifying. We really thought that we fell towards a plane crash.”
The personality of Youtube, Jimmy Dore, has published on social networks since the flight.
“Myself and many people stole their seats and hit heads on the ceiling, a on-board agent needed medical care,” wrote Dore. “The pilot said that his collision warning took place and that he needed to avoid the plane that happens to us.”
It was at least the second quasi-manca for an outdoor collision in the United States this week, after a Delta plane headed for Minneapolis in Minot, the North Dakota almost collided with a B-52 bomber.
In March, a jet of passengers collided with a military plane at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, where a collision between an American Airlines flight and a military helicopter had killed at least 67 people a few months ago.
