TX Police Officer Shot in Neck at ICE Detention Center, Multiple Suspects Arrested Wearing Body Armor – RedState
My first thought by reading on this subject was: What did these violent activists foresee? Why did they wear bullet-proof vests and masks?
Here is what happened: a police officer in Alvarado, Texas, responded to a report on a suspicious person outside an ice detention center in the late hours of July 4, according to the authorities. When the officer tried to approach the suspect, an unknown number of attackers began to shoot and the officer was struck in the neck.
Fortunately, he was treated and released by a local hospital, but the incident is nevertheless disturbing:
Just before 11 p.m., the Alvarado police service said it was called in the 1200 block from Sunflower Lane, outside the Ice Detention Center, on a suspicious person report. When the police arrived, they saw a person who seemed to carry a firearm, according to a press release …
According to Alvarado police, several armed suspects were placed in police custody after trying to flee the premises with the help of local agencies, including the Sheriff’s Bureau of Johnson County.

The Ministry of Justice published a statement on Saturday morning saying that they were well aware of the situation and kept their eyes on it (blasphemy alert):
Threats or acts of violence against law enforcement agents will not be tolerated.

Deputy Prosecutor General Todd Blanche responds to the Texas incident in the tweet above, but also likely to another violent episode in June when demonstrators attacked an ice installation in Portland, Oregon. Nick Arama of Redstate wrote this one:

What is disturbing about this incident is that these people were clearly ready for the battle, and like the disturbed assassin at the heart of Alene who shot on the respondent firefighters, by tragically killing two, these guys seem to have intentionally attracted the authorities on the stage:
The source told CBS News that the first reports indicate that more than a dozen masked people dressed in black arrived at the Prairieland Ice detention center on Friday evening and vandalized vehicles and security cameras in the parking lot.
Individuals have launched fireworks in an apparent effort to attract the police, the source said.
The ongoing attacks against federal police in this country have reached critical levels, and the Trump administration shows that they do not take them lightly. The tragedy was avoided here, but at its appearance, it could have been much worse.
Hopefully these eight suspects “discover”.
