U.S. Announces Massive Reward for Info on IRGC Heads, Iran’s New Supreme Leader – RedState

As a child growing up among the forested hills and white limestone outcroppings of Allamakee County, Iowa, I had more than a passing acquaintance with rattlesnakes. I was under orders to leave non-venomous snakes alone, like bull snakes and water snakes, but I was allowed to pursue the large rattles of the woods in the area, and in the summer I actively hunted them, for their meat (which tasted like chicken), their skins, and their rattles. One thing I learned very early: to be sure a snake is dead, you have to cut off its head.
This applies to leaders of rogue, terror-sponsoring countries like Iran. We’ve already cut off the snake’s head once, when we reduced Ayatollah Ali Khameini to room temperature. But now a new serpent has appeared in the form of the old goblin’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei. The United States is now offering a substantial payment, actually $10 million, for information on the whereabouts of Khamenei the Younger, as well as several other high-ranking regime goblins. It’s not a bad idea either.
The State Department is offering a $10 million reward for information on Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and several senior officials linked to the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Officials said the reward, part of the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program, is an effort to gather intelligence on the IRGC and its leaders, whom Washington accuses of orchestrating attacks against Americans and supporting terrorism.
The reward targets Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as several key figures in Iran’s ruling security apparatus.
The department said it was also seeking information on Ali Asghar Hejazi, deputy chief of staff of the Supreme Leader’s Office, and Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
Certainly, anyone within the regime who has this information faces enormous personal risk if they attempt to communicate it to the United States or Israel. In fact, a slow, painful death is the likely fate of these people, if they were discovered, and even if the new Ayatollah and his not-so-merry men were captured or killed, even if Iran fell and a free and representative republic arose in its wake, they would almost certainly have to seek refuge in another part of the world; there would still be people in Iran, even in a resurgent Iran, who would have reason to attempt revenge.
But $10 million in good old American currency is enough to comfortably install an Iranian expatriate almost anywhere on the planet.

This is a program that the State Department has used before.
The Rewards for Justice program allows the U.S. government to offer financial rewards for information leading to disrupting terrorist networks or identifying individuals involved in attacks against Americans.
The State Department said people who provide credible information could be eligible for rewards of up to $10 million.
Here’s my question: why not just reestablish a direct bonus system? Put a literal price on this snake’s head. In any condition, as long as it can be identified. Let’s incorporate good old American free enterprise into this matter. Bring in the bad guys, and the taxpayers will probably get a good deal too; bounties would probably cost even less than a major operation to go find and deal with these goblins.
After all, Americans have a long history with this kind of arrangement.
