Liberian Sex Offender Accused of Sexually Assaulting 10-Yr-Old Girl

A sex offender from Liberia is accused of sneaking into an elementary school in Maricopa County, Arizona, posing as a doctor and sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.

On Wednesday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced it had taken into custody Abel Kai Gblah of Liberia, who is currently incarcerated in the Maricopa County Jail on charges of sexual assault, kidnapping, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, and kidnapping of a minor with intent to sexually assault.

According to Maricopa County law enforcement, Gblah sneaked onto the campus of Orangewood Elementary School, where he then allegedly lured a 10-year-old girl into a classroom by pretending he was a doctor and needed to perform medical exams on her.

The girl told police she managed to push Gblah away. The Liberian national then fled the school but was arrested at his home the same day.

“This monster sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl in her own elementary school. For example: If ICE agents were ever to enter an elementary school, it would be to arrest a depraved criminal like this,” Tricia McLaughlin of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement:

The Biden administration failed this innocent little girl. By the time this criminal alien was arrested for child sex crimes in 2021, he should have become a priority for deportation. The Biden administration should never have allowed this dangerous guy to roam free and terrorize an innocent child. [Emphasis added]

DHS officials said Gblah entered the United States in 2011 and received a green card from the Obama administration.
