MAGA Official Behind Trump Bibles in Schools Quits to Join Bigger War

Ryan Walters, responsible for a campaign of several years to stifle Oklahoma public schools with Christian nationalist and right -wing messages, is as a superintendent of state education and headed for the private sector.
Speaking on Fox News Wednesday evening, Walters announcement That he plans to join the Teacher Freedom Alliance as chief executive officer. “We are going to destroy teachers’ unions,” said Walters, promising to “build an army of teachers” and take the national fight.
The non -profit organization, which is a ramification of the extreme right FREEDOM Foundationseeks to attract educators to withdraw from their unions. According to the website, TFA is looking to help teachers produce “free, moral and vertical” American citizens. On Thursday, the organization boasted of a small number of members of more than 2,700 teachers, against 1.8 million represented by the Syndicate of the American Teacher Federation.
In March, Walters landed in hot water After having published several press releases concerning the TFA, potentially violating the rules of ethics which prohibit state officers from using state resources to promote private interests. The representative of the State Ellen Pogemiller asked that the Oklahoma Attorney General “clarifies the legality” of Walters promotions and “investigate the links and financial contacts” between the official and the TFA.
Now it seems that Walters dropped the claim and decided to make money while the administration of Donald Trump tries a Massive overhaul of the Ministry of Education.
“Walters wishes without fear the magic of the Woke Liberal Union,” said the TFA website. “TFA will take the fight directly to the unions and we will not stop.”
Walters has made bizarre criticisms of teachers’ unions, calling them “terrorist organizations” and even tries to link them to Real terrorist attacks.
His hatred of teachers can be directly linked to his Christian nationalist ideology, which disagrees him with educators, parents and the American constitution. Walters had previously pushed to teach the Bible in Oklahoma public schools and was prosecuted by parents. Trump’s fanboy clearly indicated that the only version of the good book that suited his directives was Trump’s God bless the American BibleAnd he then tried to push his prayers for President Trump into his students’ throat.
