Ukraine wants to turn its vast stores of wartime data into a bargaining chip with its Western allies

• The digital minister of Ukraine said that he intended to take advantage of his data on the battlefield as a “card” with allies.

Ukraine hopes to use its referential depths of data and sequences on the battlefield, collected from more than three and a half years of large -scale war, as a lever tool with allies.

“I can say that the demand for data is incredibly high, but for the moment, we form a policy on how to organize this process properly,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital of Ukraine, in an interview with Reuters published on Wednesday.

But Fedorov’s comments indicate that Ukraine will not freely give this data, which he called “invaluable”. Kyiv is “very carefully” considering how to share his files and images with his allies, said the minister.
