Update now! Apple issues iOS, iPadOS, and macOS updates to fix a critical flaw

Apple generally brings together a lot of security correction in a single version, targeting the most recent operating systems, then sometimes releasing the correction for old versions of the operating system later – for older devices that cannot execute the latest operating system.
Today is different. Apple published iOS and iPados 18.6.2, MacOS 15.6.1, MacOS 14.7.8, MacOS 13.7.8 and iPados 17.7.10 at the same time. And they all solve only one critical security vulnerability: a problem in the imagery framework in which a malicious image file can cause memory corruption. Apple entries in its security versions page indicate that society is aware of a report that the defect has already been exploited “in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals”.
For Apple to publish an update for a single security problem on several versions of the operating system, the return to MacOS Ventura is very unusual and speaks of the severity of this security defect. In other words, whatever your Apple device, you have to update now. Open Parameters > General > Software update And apply the last patch.
