US May Be Seeing First Negative Net Migration in 50 Years – RedState
What a difference is a president made! Only a year ago, the old Joe Biden was confused with his inability to do anything about our largely open borders without a mysterious and indefinite action of the Congress; But then, Joe Biden also suffered from an inability to make his way to the toilet of the President’s private Oval Office without a card, a compass and aid to the secret services.
Enter Donald Trump, and everything that changed overnight. Now, in 2025, the United States could well be on the right track to see the first year of net negative migration in half a century. CNN Harry Enen has the numbers.

It is, as someone once said, a big scary affair. The southern border is actually closed. The ice brings together the worst of the worst, turning them through the Alligator Alcatraz and other deposit stations, and returning them to their place. This is what President Trump campaigned throughout the electoral season in 2024, and now he delivers.

What is not revealed in these figures is how illegal immigration affects these figures. We may see a negative net migration – What part of this is either repatriated illegal immigrants, or illegal immigrants who are deported? These would be interesting figures to have at hand. Smart Money says that the screen is considerably made up of people who should not have been here in the first place, in one way or another.
