President Donald Trump’s administration will reverse a fundamental scientific determination on Tuesday which underpins the ability of the United States government to curb climate change, announced the head of the Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin.

Appearing on the “ruthless podcast” on the right, “said Zeldin,” later in the day, we will make a big announcement in Indiana “about the so-called conclusion of 2009 endangerment, which concluded that the greenhouse trap for engine vehicles were a threat to public health and well-being.

Zeldin accused the Environmental Protection Agency under former President Barack Obama of having made “mental jumps”, when developing the observation on the basis of overwhelming scientific consensus and research evaluated by peers.

In accordance with a podcast host who described the search for “hub at the left -wing environment agenda,” said Zeldin, “this was essentially called a dagger at the heart of the religion of climate change.”

“Conservatives love the environment, want to be good environmental goalkeepers,” he continued.

But “there are people who, in the name of climate change, are willing to put the country bankrupt in the name of environmental justice”.

The transport sector is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States.

The conclusion of endangerment granted the EPA power to regulate emissions under the Clean Act Act and served as a legal skeleton for a range of climatic rules, extending beyond vehicles to central standards with methane boundaries to oil and gas operations.

According to a recent analysis by the Natural Resources Defense Council, if it was a country, the American transport sector would be classified as the fourth greenhouse gas in the world, while the energy sector would be fifth.

Dan Becker of the Center for Biological Diversity told AFP that the conclusion of endangerment had survived several legal challenges by industry over the years. “But this time, it is the government itself that rises the attack,” he said.

Environmental groups and states should continue quickly. The legal battle could ultimately reach the Supreme Court, which should cancel its own 2007 decision which paved the way for the conclusion of the endangerment.

“I hope they will recognize that it is science and not politics – that there was a good reason for this previous one and no good reason to revoke it,” said Becker. “But it’s a very political court.”

Since his return to his duties, Trump has removed the United States from the Paris Agreement on global warming and has launched a scanning campaign to extend the development of fossil fuels, including new movements this week to open the ecologically sensitive areas of Alaska to drilling.

The announcement comes as the planet stifled at historic warming levels. Tens of millions of Americans cook under a dome of sudden heat gripping the Southeast, while the floods fueled by the climate killed more than 100 people in Texas earlier this month.
