Bon Jovi announces first tour since Jon Bon Jovi’s surgery

NEW YORK — Decades into his career, the unthinkable happened. It was 2022 and Jon Bon Jovi was starting to struggle with his songs. He saw a doctor who told him that one of his vocal cords was atrophying. He needed major surgery.
Bon Jovi underwent the procedure and, over the years that followed, underwent a lengthy rehabilitation, leading up to the present moment: next summer, his band, Bon Jovi, will embark on its first tour in four years.
The “Forever Tour” kicks off with four nights at Madison Square Garden in New York before the band heads to Edinburgh, Scotland; Dublin and London.
“There is a lot of joy in this announcement – joy that we can share these evenings together with our incredible fans and joy that the band can be together,” Bon Jovi said in a statement. “I’ve spoken at length about my gratitude but I’ll say it again, I’m deeply grateful that the fans and brotherhood of this band have been patient and given me the time I needed to get healthy and prepare for the tour. I’m ready and excited!”
Bon Jovi’s last concert took place on April 30, 2022 in Nashville – as shown in the 2024 Hulu documentary, “Thank You, Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story.”
