VA Gov Orders Probe into Allegations School Staff Arranged Abortions
Virginie Glenn Youngkin (R) governor announced on Wednesday that he had ordered state police to open a criminal investigation into allegations of abortions funded by schools in Fairfax County.
Youngkin’s announcement is based on The complaints of a report that a school worker from Center -Ville high school in Union Hill organized and paid the abortions of students in 2021, including that of a 17 -year -old girl, without a notification or parental consent. The public schools of Fairfax County (FCPS) declared after the publication of the report she had opened her own investigation into allegations.
“We learned these allegations yesterday concerning the allegations of 2021,” said FCPS at the local Wjla exit Last Wednesday. “We are launching an immediate and complete investigation while we take all the concerns of students’ well-being very seriously.”
However, The teacher of Center -Ville high school, Zenaida Perez, allegedly informed that she had informed the school officials seven times since May 2022 about a school worker facilitating and paying the abortion of a student, Fox News reported on Tuesday.
“I am deeply concerned about the allegations according to which the officials of the public schools of the County Fairfax organized so that minors obtain abortions without parental consent and may have misused public funds to pay them,” said Youngkin in a statement. “I direct the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation to immediately open a complete criminal investigation into the case,” said Glenn Youngkin Governor. “”
When contacted to comment on, FCPS told Breitbart News that the district was “ready to fully cooperate in the state police investigation into these allegations in 2021”.
“As this is a question of current staff, we cannot comment more for the moment,” said FCPS. “We remain focused on preparations for the start of the school year – emphasizing academic excellence and opportunities for each student in a safe and welcoming environment.”
