Just because you have a small workspace, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have great expectations. The Vari Electric Standing Desk with Comfortedge is a really premium compact workstation with a solid quality of construction, although its price can be a shoot for those who have a budget.

Assembly and configuration

The Vari Electric standing office is available in two boxes. The first box, which weighs 51.3 lb, includes the top, which weighs 36 lb. The second box, which weighs 58.9 lb, includes the metal legs, which weigh 52.8 pounds. The two boxes have shipped well with a minimum of external damage and proved to be easy to handle.

Although I think that one practical individual could manage and assemble everything, as usual, I found that it is a much easier process with an aid.

All the equipment, which consists of two allen keys, eight screws and four washers, is included with the legs. The assembly turned out to be deliciously easy.

First, slide it and fix the two legs on top of the table. Then, in the central slot, fix the control box, which takes the plugs from the power cord, legs and control panel. Then drag the control panel into the front support. Finally, fix the two feet and fix the control box at the control panel with the adhesive clips.

This is all, which makes it easier for one of the simplest offices I had to assemble and something that should not be a problem for a skill level.

Form and functionality

My version of the Bureau Standing Electric is the high black with slate legs. The 1.25 inch thick laminate surface is the same excellent finish from the moment I examined the electric electric office with variable shape. It is smooth, but has a slight texture, and does a fantastic job to resist fingerprints, which has rarely said on standard brilliant desktops.

Even better, the upper office has varieties. While you lose about 2.25 inches of reception of the slope, you never have to worry about the edge of the desk which digs in your wrists or elsewhere. This is a design feature that other office manufacturers must take seriously.

Depending on its price and its premium designation, the overall quality of construction is excellent. Once built, it is incredibly solid, with a shock in sight, regardless of the height.

The feeding mechanism, which can lower the desk to 25 inches or lift the office up to 50.5 inches, is smooth, fast and precise. I can go from its minimum height to the maximum height, or vice versa, in about 20 seconds.

The control panel, which can be slipped back or rinsing with the front lip, offers buttons from top to bottom and four memory presets. A small, but clear digital LED screen shows the precise height in inches. It is super easy to use, including the programming of one of the four presets by positioning the desk at the desired height, by pressing M, then pressing the 1, 2, 3 or 4 to save it on this particular button.

Although it is an almost perfect electric standing office, there are a few things to note. For example, instead of a use hole to operate the cables, Vari has a slight indentation in the middle of the rear of the surface, which can also be used to mount the monitor arms further from a wall. This maximizes continuous surface space, especially on a small desk like this, but it slightly complicates cable management options.

Similarly, for an office at this price, I was disappointed that Vari did not include a cable management system for the underside of the desk, like a long tray on the back. Of course, they include bonds of hook cables and brand loop, but this is not exactly what I expected with this desktop class, especially when it comes to managing the thick power cable.

These notes apart, just like the electric electric office with variable shape, this office is a winner. As a workstation for my day work, I like the speed with which I can move between standing and seated, the office feeling solid and stable in one or the other position. And, although small, it is always a generous work surface given the space constraints in this area of my office.

Should you buy the Var Electric Standing Desk with Comfortedge?

The offices of this size tend to cost much less than the Bureau Standing Vari Electric with ComPortedge, but there is something to say for a premium offer like this. As a much smaller version of the superb electric office with variable shape, there is much to love on what this office brings to those who have a limited room.

Of course, for such a small office, there is no ignorance of its relatively high price. Fortunately, if you don’t mind investing in your workspace and must save space, I cannot imagine doing better than what is offered here. Its quality of construction exceeds reproaches, so you get at least something that should last through many generations of equipment upgrades. It’s just a shame that we could not have obtained some additional quality of life improvements, such as a cable management system, for the price.
