Violent Orange County rollover crash leaves 3 people hospitalized

Two people were trapped in their vehicle after a violent rollover in Orange County that was captured on a resident’s doorbell camera Sunday.

Fullerton Fire Department crews responded to the scene near the intersection of Valencia Drive and Courtney Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. following reports of the crash.

Footage of the incident obtained by KTLA showed the driver of a pickup truck making a slow left turn from Courtney Avenue onto Valencia Drive when the driver of a dark-colored four-door sedan traveling on Valencia Drive struck the driver’s side of the truck, causing the pickup truck to roll onto its side in the middle of the roadway.

Valencia Drive was closed in both directions as police cordoned off the scene and firefighters worked to rescue two people trapped inside one of the vehicles.

“We were able to free them,” said Cpt. » said Robert Thompson. “We got them out the windshield.”

Large crowds of spectators watched as medical personnel treated three people involved in the crash, all of whom were transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries.

No additional information, including whether speed, drugs or alcohol may have been a factor, nor is it known whether any of the parties involved will face charges in connection with the crash.
