Virginia Giuffre’s family, who was one of Jeffrey Epstein’s best -known sex trafficking, said he was shocking to hear President Donald Trump saying that the disgrace financier “stole” Giuffre from him and urged the former girlfriend of Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, in prison.
Giuffre, who accused British prince Andrew and other influential men to exploit him sexually in adolescence deals with Epstein, was a central figure in conspiracy theories related to the case. She died by suicide this year.
His family’s declaration is the last development concerning Epstein, who committed suicide in a New York prison in 2019 while facing federal accusations of sexual traffic, and the Republican president, who was his only friend. Trump denied prior knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and said he had cut their relationship years ago, but he still faces questions about the case.
Trump, answer Tuesday to a journalist’s question, said that he got angry with Epstein for his poaching of workers and that Epstein had stolen Giuffre to his club from Palm Beach, Florida.
“It was shocking to hear President Trump invoke our sister and say that he was aware that Virginia had been” stolen “from Mar-A-Lago,” said the family statement.

“We and the public ask for answers; the survivors deserve this,” he continued.
The press secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, noted that the president answered the question of a journalist and had not mentioned Giuffre himself.
“The fact remains that President Trump launched Jeffrey Epstein from his club to be a snack for his employees,” she said.
The family’s declaration comes shortly after the Ministry of Justice interviewed Maxwell, who was sentenced in 2021 for sex trafficking and other accusations and purges a 20 -year sentence in Tallahassee, Florida. Deputy Prosecutor General Todd Blanche interviewed Maxwell in a Florida courthouse, although details on what she said has not become public.
Maxwell’s lawyers said she testified honestly and answered questions “out of 100 different people”. They said that she was ready to answer more questions from Congress if she is given to the immunity of future prosecution for her testimony and if the legislators agree to meet other conditions.
On Thursday, a message asking for comments on the Guffre family declaration was sent to Maxwell’s lawyer.
In a CNN interview Thursday evening, Guffre’s family also spoke.
“She was not stolen, she was proyed on her property, on the property of President Trump … Vole seems very impersonal. It looks a lot like an object, and survivors are not objects, women are not objects,” said Sky Roberts, Giuffre’s brother. “She was plagued, and that certainly makes you ask the question, you know, how much he knew during this period?”
A Trump administration official said that the president was currently considering no action by Clémence for Maxwell.
Giuffre said that she had been approached by Maxwell in 2000 and that she was finally hired by her as a masseuse for Epstein. But the couple actually made her a sexual servant, she said, put her pressure to gratify not only Epstein but also her friends and associates.
Giuffre said that she had been transported by plane around the world for meetings with men, including Prince Andrew, when she was 17 and 18 years old.
The men, of which Andrew, denied it and began the credibility of Giuffre. She admitted to having changed some key details from her account.
The prince settled with Giuffre in 2022 for an undisclosed sum, accepting to make a “substantial gift” to the organization of his survivors.
The Giuffre of American origin lived in Australia for years and has become a defender of survivors of sex trafficking after having emerged as a central figure of the prolonged fall of Epstein.
Her family’s statement said she endured death threats and financial ruin on her cooperation with the authorities against Epstein and Maxwell.
