Voices from both sides of debate discuss assisted dying bill

A group of demonstrators gathered on the Place du Parliament while deputies debate the last stage of a bill today which could legalize the assisted death in England and Wales.

A woman described her son to die of cancer in “excruciating pain” saying that the assistance to death would have given her a choice.

Another demonstrator said that the bill would open “a flood plant” if it was adopted.

The bill on terminal adults (end of life) would allow adults in the final year of six months or less to live to obtain medical assistance to end their own lives.
