Wahoo Kickr Run Review: a (Mostly) Screen-Free Treadmill

Ask any seriousness Runner and they will tell you that treadmills are generally the scourge of their existence. Alas, for people who do not live in Mediterranean climates, they are a necessary winter evil that keeps us in shape during the dead, but not necessarily happier.
The unadorned design of the Wahoo Kickr race, plus a magical mode that allows it to follow your rhythm without touching a button, this is what makes it the most real treadmill on which I have ever worked. I am certainly 20 pounds more than me when I regularly traveled 15 miles races, but even if I am a little exceeded my peak at the moment, the feeling of liberation of not having to pay attention to a regular (and often ambitious) pace makes it a more natural experience.
There are excellent treadmills with more screens, more integrated commands and more flashy gadgets, but I would say that a good running experience wins all, and that’s exactly what this machine provides, as long as you can support the price of $ 7,000.

The installation of Glove Blanche is definitely required for a machine of this size and this weight (and expected at this cost), and two gentlemen had my revision unit installed in less than an hour. In other words, with the exception of the power: while the company initially told me that a dedicated circuit of 15 to 20 amps was necessary to execute the machine, I was not aware before having read the manual that he had to be a point of sale without A GFCI installed. A trip from an electrician to remove a GFCI on my circuit and I was installed and ready to leave.
The machine itself is shorter than you could recognize from local gymnasiums or personal treadmills, with two wheels at the front which allow you to adjust the inclination of grade and side carpet to imitate the outdoor conditions. There is a large rubbering cushion that can contain a laptop, a mobile phone, an iPad or any other distraction or interface you want during execution.
The most beautiful thing about the simple minimalist interface of the execution of Kickr is that it does not explicitly attach you to an ecosystem or another; The treadmill crosses the Wahoo application, but it is compatible with Zwift, Kinomap, Humango and Peloton, so you can consider it with any fitness experience you want (or not).
