The center-right Demokraatit party, which supports a local business-driven approach to achieving independence, won almost 30 percent of the vote. The most aggressive pro-independence party, Naleraq, won 25 percent of the vote.
“We don’t want to be Americans. No, we don’t want to be Danish. We want to be Greenlanders. And we want our own independence in the future.
