War Sec. Pete Hegseth announces task force probe of senior services colleges

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced the creation of a task force to evaluate senior military colleges to ensure they are not tainted by woke ideology and are providing a quality education.

“Professional military education should produce fighters and leaders, not enlightened ones,” he said in an article on X.

“That’s why we’re creating a task force to evaluate our graduate service schools and make sure the focus is where it needs to be. No distractions. Just war,” the message added.

Hegseth’s message includes a video message in which he says: “I am directing the Under Secretary of War to provide personnel and am prepared to establish a task force effective immediately.” »

“The mission of this task force is to evaluate our senior service academies, where we train our own: think of places like the Army War College, or the National Defense University, the Naval War College, the Marine Corps University or the Air War College, where our senior officers go to continue their education,” he explained.

He said the War Department “will ensure that what we have seen in our civilian institutions never appears in our military educational institutions.” Trust me. I’ve heard stories. I know some of our own higher service colleges… have similar courses and similar ideologies.

“And if we are removing officers from civilian universities because they are too woke, then we better make sure our own universities are prepared to do this task properly,” he said.

Hegseth’s message came as the United States continues to wage war against the Islamic Republic of Iran in collaboration with Israel.
