The Knicks’ most recent loss came against the best team in the Eastern Conference, the Detroit Pistons. It was one of the Knicks’ worst performances of the season, losing by 31 points, 121-90.
Brown feels the Knicks and fans shouldn’t panic
Before the season even started, the Knicks already had the status of Eastern Conference favorites alongside the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks are still in a good place as the third seed, but they are not the heavy favorites people thought before the season.
Indeed, the Boston Celtics are the second seed ahead of the Knicks after four consecutive losses. Before the season, everyone thought the Celtics would struggle without Jayson Tatum, but they are doing well with Jaylen Brown as their first superstar option.

The Knicks should be winning more games, but it’s been a tough stretch recently. Coach Brown and his team don’t want to panic as he feels this is a natural progression for any team.
Brown would rather not get into that hole, but he knows the Knicks are good enough to climb out of it.
“You have to have perspective, because you’re going to have ups and downs, it’s not always going to be like that. You hope that when you go down, it’s not going to be three or four or five games. That’s where we are now, but it’s not the time to panic, but we have to make sure that we do what we can to help this group,” Brown said after his loss to the Pistons.

The Knicks have championship aspirations, so they would love to get out of this rut. They have the Los Angeles Clippers next on the schedule, which is yet another tough matchup. However, Brown and the rest of the team are focused on winning to bounce back.
January hasn’t been a good month so far, but there are plenty of games to play. The Knicks have all the talent and training to bounce back and properly seize a top seed in the East.
