Finnish media says several people have been stabbed in the southern city of Tempere

Helsinki, Finland – An attacker in Finland stabbed several people near a shopping center in the southern city of Tempere on Thursday afternoon, and a person was arrested, the Finnish public broadcaster Yle reported.
It was not immediately clear how many people had been injured, but the police said there was no more threat to the public. The victims received first aid at the scene.
One person was arrested, the police said, although they had no detail. The media said the suspect was a man.
Workers used pressure washers to clean blood stains outside the shopping center. A large pond of blood was visible outside a restaurant and blood dragged from the shopping center to a neighboring highway.

Yle’s video showed a strong police presence and ambulances in front of the shopping center.
Finnish paper Aamulehti reported that the police had blocked all the doors of the Ratina shopping center and that people were not allowed to enter or leave the center. Witnesses of the attack were taken to the second floor of the shopping center for interrogation.
Yle also pointed out that employees of social and crisis services had arrived at the shopping center to take care of victims and passers -by.
