A spokesperson for the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office confirmed it had dispatched members to the scene and that the office would take over the investigation into the structural collapse.

A first responder who arrived on scene shortly after 911 calls were made described half of the floor of the building where the wedding ceremony was to take place as having fallen into the basement. He asked for more first responders to speak to witnesses, saying about 145 people were at the event. The speaker also said they were carefully removing people from the building.
