WH Shares Video Showing Nighttime Operation to Make D.C. Safe
Trump’s White House shared a video this week giving an overview of the nocturnal operation in Washington, DC, presenting the mission of becoming DC again.
“Nocturne routine: the operation renders DC Safe Again Edition,” wrote the White House, sharing a video of DC authorities arresting alleged criminals in the city.
These actions follow the announcement of Monday Trump officially invoking article 740 of the Columbia Home Rule AC district, placing the DC metropolitan police department under direct federal control and activating the National Guard to increase crime.
“I understand that many of you tend to be on the liberal side, but … you don’t want to be attacked and raped and killed and killed,” Trump told journalists at the press conference.
“You want to be able to leave your apartment or your house where you live and feel safe and go to a store to buy a newspaper or buy something, and you don’t have that now,” he said, adding the murder rate to Washington today is “higher than that of Bogotá, Colombia; Mexico; some of the places you hear as the worst places of the Earth”.
“The number of car flights has doubled in the past five years, and the number of carjacking has more than tripled. The murders in 2023 reached the highest rate ever. People, and we’re not going to let him occur.
The former Capitol police chief Steven Sund offered an additional perspective on the reality of a problem during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily This week, noting that the DC homicide rate is “five to six times that of any other big city in the United States”.
He added that – despite the breakdowns of the radical left – this type of work force is not new.
“We did it in the early 90s, when I was with the DC police, we were able to reduce homicide rates. When the leader was chief, think from 2010 to 2014, we had a homicide rate which may have been around 100, 170 per year. Today, you obtained 274 homicides. So you therefore had a significant increase,” he said.

Meanwhile, the leftists have spoken out against Trump’s mission to fight crime and homelessness in the national capital. The daughter of the failed vice-presidential candidate, the daughter of governor Tim Walz, for example, rushed to Trump’s decision, describing her as “Bitch Baby, Wussy, Scaredy Cat Behavior”.
