America’s No. 16 LBM Coaches Poll Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to keep their quest for the College Football Playoff alive while hosting the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday.
The 3-2 Fighting Irish will face a 4-2 upset Wolfpack club. The teams have met four times in the past and the Irish are 2-2 against NC State.
Besides winning and staying in the playoff race, Notre Dame will be looking to see if a struggling defense, especially the secondary, can improve. That side of the ball showed flashes of improvement against Arkansas and Boise State, so the coaching staff will expect that to continue.
