Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Agree to Fight Next Spring: ‘It’s Going To Be Legendary’

The retired boxing legends will meet again in the ring next year for an exhibition fight, Tyson, 59, confirmed via social media on Thursday, September 4.
“To come soon”, Tyson legend his article, which presented a promotional poster for the fight which reads “Legend vs Legend” alongside the words “signed” and “2026.”

According to TmzThe match – which will be set up by CSI Sports / Fight Sports – should take place next spring, but the exact date, the location and the distribution details are still TBD.
However, Mayweather, 48, already promises a fight to remember.
“I have been doing this for 30 years and there has not been a single fighter who can tarnish my inheritance,” said Mayweather in the press release. “You already know that if I’m going to do something, it’s going to be tall and it’s going to be legendary. I’m the best of boxing. This exhibition will give fans what they want.”
Tyson retired from the sport in 2005 but returned in November 2024 for what many nicknamed a painful loss for Jake Paul on Netflix.
Mayweather moved away from professional boxing in 2017 after a TKO victory Conor McGregor. He has since appeared in several exhibition matches, including one against John Gotti III Last August.
