The sending of the National Guard to States despite the objections of their governor is not a new idea in the inner circle of Trump.

Stephen Miller, the deputy chief of staff of the White House, said in November 2023 that a second Trump administration would custody in the sympathetic states led by the Republicans to the States led by Democrats who refuse to cooperate with his desire for mass deportations.

“The Alabama National Guard will stop illegal extraterrestrials in Alabama and the Virginia National Guard in Virginia. Illinois Aclu also brought an action on Monday against Trump, DHS, ICE, Border Patrol and several of the national and local leaders of these agencies, accusing them of unleashing a campaign of violence and intimidation against peaceful demonstrators and journalists for weeks of protests outside of an ice detention center in BroadView, Illinois.

“In modern times, the federal government did not dictate the constitutional protections of the foundation on this scale, or the police power of the usurped states by ordering federal agents to carry out an illegal mission against the people for the benefit of the government,” said the complaint.

The mayor of BroadView, Katrina Thompson, announced on Monday a decree demanding that the demonstrators demonstrate outside the ICE establishment between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. Thompson said that the order was an effort to “balance the constitutional rights of the demonstrators with the needs and security of the BroadView residents and companies”.

The American district judge appointed by Trump, Karin Imggut, then rendered his first decision temporarily blocking deployment on Saturday afternoon, claiming that the relatively low demonstrations that the City saw did not justify the use of federalized forces and allowed it the deployment could harm the sovereignty of the state of Oregon.

The Trump administration responded with another attempt to send troops from the National Guard of California and Texas, which prompted Kotek and the governor of California Gavin Newsom, also a Democrat, to return to court on Sunday. IMMERGUT granted the request, preventing the national guard troops from being sent to Oregon for 14 days.

The White House responded to Immergut on Monday with the secretary of the press Karoline Leavitt calling for the opinion of the judge “without attachment in reality and in the law”.
