Sources — Cowboys’ Bland (foot) could be sidelined for weeks

Frisco, Texas – Dallas Cowboys could be half of Daron Bland for a few weeks due to a right -off injury in the training on Monday, sources told ESPN.

Bland did not practice Wednesday, but the injury is not linked to the foot problem which limited him to seven games last season. Last year, Bland treated a stress fracture in his left foot which required surgery.

This injury is not considered serious, but his absence comes in while Trevon Diggs increases his work after having undergone an operation of the left knee in January and the cowboys lack depth in this position.

Bland signed an extension of $ 92 million over four years on August 31, which included 50 million dollars guaranteed. It was credited with four plated and a quarter of a hurry during the defeat of the opening of the season against the Eagles of Philadelphia on September 4.

Diggs played in 27 snaps against Eagles, working in the sub-packages, which moved Bland in the slit. Diggs said after Wednesday’s training that he could see more action in week 2 against New York Giants, if not a full workload.

“Just a little more than last week, I have the impression that it is the best and the most intelligent and the safest to do,” said Diggs. “I want to increase a few more games and work slowly on my way.”

Kaiir Elam, acquired in the offseason in a business of Buffalo Bills, is the other starting. The cowboys had the new arrivals Reddy Steward and Trikweze Bridges active against the Eagles, but none played a defensive cliché in the game. Steward has experience in the defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus and can play the slit.

Cowboys may be able to call Zion Childress, who made the initial list of 53 men, of the training team this week against the Giants.

Cowboys currently have 52 players on the active list, after having placed the defensive platform Perrion Winfrey on the injured reserve at the start of the week. The cowboys visited the defensive winger veteran Jadeveon Clowney on Wednesday, but an agreement is not considered imminent.
