Fact Focus: US and Israeli strikes on Iran nuclear sites pose limited radiation risks
The United States has joined Israel in its attacks against the Iranian nuclear program. The United Nations and other expert atomic guard dog say that radiological contamination is probably within a Uranium key enrichment site in Natanz which was seriously damaged by Israel and then struck by the United States on Sunday. But they say that the radiation levels outside the Natanz complex remained normal after the Israeli strikes last week. Iran produces most of its quality material of close weapons on another site, Fordo, which is buried deep underground and was among the targets of American strikes. Experts say that any impact on the potential radiation of a strike on Fordo is probably similar to the impact of Natanz.
